East African Safari – Kenya and Tanzania

I went back to Africa to see Kenya and Tanzania and they did not disappoint.

The landscape and culture are similar yet different.

Our hot air balloon ride was glorious, yet not as great as the Cappadocia ride in Turkey.

But, cannot compare due to the scenery available .

Fantastic vacation.

The highlight in Kenya was seeing lions mating every 15 minutes,

while we were chased by an elephant in Tanzania ready to attack us.

It was good that the driver knew what he was doing.

Enjoy the pictures from East Africa with the famous Maasai Mara.

Maasai Mara with their traditional clothing (Indigenous tribe in Tanzania)
At Lake Elementatia Lodge viewing the lake
Our first game drive in Kenya
Giraffes galore
The wildebeest migration
Enjoying the moment above the clouds on a hot air balloon over the Mara reserve
An old lion
Family of elephants
The lovers: lions mating,, YES, we saw them in action
Wildebeest and zebras travel together, but zebras are more intelligent than the wildebeest.
Aerial view of Mt Kilimanjaro
Sunset on a baobab tree
A lone giraffe , but not lonely
The bull elephant in heat that chased us , ready to attack with his fiery eyes and tusks

I am overwhelmed by the presence of animals in both countries.

Migration is real and Maasai Mara drinking fresh blood is also real.

Kenya and Tanzania are my 85th and 86th countries respectively.

To Europe next month! Cheers!
