I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of Guatemala.

By the time the plane landed, I saw a huge volcano overpowering the landscape.

It was Agua volcano. There are a few more, of course.

We just hoped that they will not erupt while we were there.

Guatemala has a lot of UNESCO heritage sites also, the largest being Tikal and

mostly Mayan ruins.. There were some Catholic cathedral and churches also

There were gorgeous rivers and mountains and history and culture.

The textiles were very lovely and I bought a lot of souvenirs

to help with their economy.

Food is like Mexican with plenty of veggies and avocadoes.

I even bough a unique black and white Guatemalan jade,

Guatemala is underrated as a tourist country. I am not sure why.

Our TD always mentions ” the universe”, I guess, he was like me.

On to my 93rd country in a few days!
